We cannot recommend Cherish highly enough! We were unsure about hiring a doula for our first child's birth, but after reading her reviews and meeting her over Zoom, it was a no-brainer. Having Cherish was like having our own personal labor & delivery, lactation, and newborn expert. She answered so many questions beforehand that I went into labor more confident than I ever thought possible.
My labor turned into a (very long) unplanned induction, and Cherish was by my side, making sure I was informed, involved in medical decisions, and comfortable with the plan. When we nearly needed an emergency C-section, she stayed with my husband and comforted him through a very scary moment. We avoided the emergency, and when we had to choose between restarting the induction or a scheduled C-section, she supported whatever we wanted. Our daughter was born that afternoon, with Cherish right beside us in the OR. She advocated for us at every turn, and we're forever grateful she was part of our birth story.
Once we were home, Cherish helped us feel calm in our new roles as parents. She checked in right away and came for our follow-up visit the night we got home. Seeing her in our own home, with the baby we all helped welcome into the world, was the best feeling. She was so helpful with breastfeeding and latch, and when our baby's latch wasn't quite right, she referred us to an awesome lactation clinic that made our journey that much smoother.
