I'm a first time mom at 41 years old, and my baby was born September 10, 2026. From the first time I video chatted with Leslie, I knew I had found the perfect person to be part of my birth experience. Leslie not only had years of experience, she was very professional, and very knowledgeable. She was very clear on what her role would be and what I should expect from her. But more than anything, her demeanor was perfect for me as a first timer. Her confidence and honesty paired with her can-do attitude put my hormonal mind at ease. When she met with my husband and dog, it just solidified my thoughts that this experience was going to go as well as it possibly could. She helped to educate us on various things we could do when the time came and when it did finally come, she was there immediately and remained perfectly calm and steady throughout never leaving my side. Without her, my experience would have been scary and uncertain.
I want to also point out that she educated my husband and I on how to properly navigate the hospital situation and advocate for ourselves essentially getting our birth plan (which she created with us) accepted by hospital staff. This was huge because we felt confident when we arrived at the hospital with a plan. My labor ended up going into the wee hours of the morning and still Leslie remained by my side as a positive force never waning. When my son was born, she was there cheering me on and took some amazing photos (she is an amazing photographer) that I will cherish forever. I am so grateful to her for going above and beyond my expectations for a doula.
Leslie is also just a wonderful human being. She helped to prepare me for breastfeeding as well, giving me information and even pointing me to a breastfeeding group that meets weekly.
There is so much more I could say about my experience with Leslie. So if you want a magical memorable birth experience, you need Leslie Zorn. She is amazing!
