Working with Doula Love was very easy! Great communication, straight forward process with being matched to a Doula, and their additional services are great! My partner & I took the Express Birthing class and it was great! Very informative & personal. My experience with my doula, Lauren, was phenomenal. I had a very specific idea of how I wanted labor to happen & what I wanted. After much consideration I had to change those plans to be more fluid and flexible. Lauren helped shift my mindset in preparation for my labor. She is a great listener, holds a wealth of knowledge while also holding space for me & my knowledge as well my lived experience. Laura also emphasized early on the importance or also caring & supporting the partner in a different capacity that oftentimes isn’t as obvious or focused on. This was huge for me partner & I. In the final trimester Lauren was an amazing support. I was texting her regularly & asking for her input. She listened & provide reassurance & at times suggestions for what to do. When the day finally came for delivery, Lauren arrived as I was 5-6 cm dilated & just jumped right into action. She brought a grounded, calm, and strong energy, which is exactly what I needed. Throughout my entire labor Lauren was by my side providing such human & connected support. She was also able to support my partner & help with talking through interventions as they came up. Lauren helped me accomplish the biggest birth preference I wanted which was an unmedicated vaginal birth. It was truly a 10/10 experience & I couldn’t have done it without Lauren’s support
