Mairi started supporting our family when our second baby was three weeks old, though we wished we had found her sooner! We felt comfortable with Mairi right away, and she was a fantastic fit for our family. Our older child was three years old, and very shy. Mairi knew just how to interact with her, helping her feel comfortable, getting to know her, and becoming her good buddy.
Mairi was amazing at anticipating our needs, while also checking in about what would be most helpful. Her knowledge about babies, feeding, and the postpartum period is extensive, and was so helpful to us, even as second time parents. Sleep was difficult in our house for an extended period of time, and Mairi’s daytime support was essential for my mental health. She supported us through many transitions, and helped me to be a better mom when my brain felt like mush.
While Mairi wasn't our birth doula, I've had many, many conversations with her about birth (I'm a former doula and birth nerd), and it's clear to me that Mairi centers her clients' experiences in their births. She is incredibly knowledgable, provides amazing guidance, and is a strong advocate for her clients. While she herself provides physical and advocacy support, she also lifts up partners to that they have the skills to shine in those roles too. She’s the best!
