As a first-time mom, I was anxious and feeling at a loss, but Michelle helped me figure out how I wanted my birth experience to go, as well as prepare for other circumstances--which turned out to be essential when I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and induced. I feel like her calm and caring presence during the birth itself was essential, and helped me feel good about the experience despite the unexpected induction. My husband also appreciated how she included him in the planning process and helped him get ready to fully support me during delivery. I couldn't have asked for a better doula!
