After severe PTSD from my first birth, which involved failed epidurals, a spinal headache, and providers who made me feel unheard, my second birth with Audrey healed me in ways I never knew were possible. I went from fearing birth to embracing it, and she made all the difference.
Audrey prepared me for my unmedicated birth with coping strategies, counterpressure, a TENS unit, affirmations, and so much more. She thoroughly prepared me for labor, birth, postpartum, and advocated for my birth plan. Whenever I felt unsure about a decision, Audrey walked me through my options, helped me understand the information, and empowered me to make the most informed choice for myself and my baby. And when I couldn’t advocate for myself during labor, Audrey always made sure my voice was heard and my wishes were respected. She kept me grounded and gave me the tools and confidence I wouldn’t have had without her.
She also made our birth space peaceful and special with dimmed lights, fairy lights, a fan, ice packs, and my affirmations displayed around the room to remind me how incredible my body was. These thoughtful touches meant so much.
Her support continued postpartum, including breastfeeding, when her guidance, encouragement, and reassurance helped me navigate those early moments with my baby.
Audrey is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to making birth a positive experience for the whole family.
