My second baby came a little earlier than we expected, and my original doula was recovering from surgery. Ashley served as my primary doula and I wish she could have been there for my first! She suggested many different positions to try - I remember experiencing back labor for a bit and she knew just how to help. I had an unmedicated birth and there were several times where I thought "no way can I do this." Ashley knew just what to say to push me through one more contraction. Her nurturing, calm, knowledgeable vibe is exactly what you want for your birth. Plus, she's a birth assistant too, so it was very cool to have that experience as part of my team as well.
