I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Barbie French. From pregnancy through postpartum, she was such an incredible source of support, guidance, and comfort for me. She went far beyond what I ever could have expected from a doula.
Throughout my pregnancy, Barbie checked in with me regularly, had check-in meetings, and sent weekly texts just to see how I was doing. Those little check ins meant so much and made me feel like I was never navigating everything alone.
When it came time for labor, Barbie was there for me through the entire process. She helped me look at the bigger picture when creating and visualizing my birth plan, while also reminding me that birth doesn’t always go exactly according to plan. During labor, she helped me think through important decisions when I was overwhelmed and made sure I felt informed, supported, and confident in my choices. I truly felt like I had someone in my corner every step of the way.
Her support didn’t end when my baby was born. She continued checking in on me postpartum, making sure I was doing okay and adjusting to such a huge life change.
Beyond everything she did as a doula, Barbie is just an incredibly wholesome, caring, and genuine person. She made me feel heard, cared for, and never judged. I am so grateful that she was part of such an important and life changing experience for my husband and I. Having Barbie by our side gave us comfort and reassurance when we needed it most. I genuinely cannot imagine my birth experience without her.
