I want to take a moment to give a HUGE shoutout to our doula for everything she did for us throughout Taide’s pregnancy and the delivery of our son! ??
I really can’t say enough good things about her!
From helping us put together a birth plan, preparing us for what to expect during delivery, and being another voice in the room advocating for us, she was absolutely amazing!
One thing I really appreciated was how much she helped Taide mentally prepare for everything. She helped her get into the right headspace throughout the pregnancy and especially during labor. She also helped create such a calm and positive environment in the delivery room, which I truly believe played a big part in Taide being able to have the natural delivery she wanted.
And speaking for myself, she was a HUGE help! As a first time dad, there was a lot I didn’t know. She helped me understand how I could better support Taide throughout the pregnancy and what I could actually do to help during labor instead of just standing around looking lost. ??
I think sometimes people underestimate just how much of a difference having the right people around you can make, especially during such an important moment in your life.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m extremely grateful we had her there with us!
