I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our wonderful doula, Irina, for being by our side during one of the most important moments of our lives — the birth of our first baby! ??
This was my first childbirth experience, and naturally, there were so many unknowns. In moments like these, it means so much to have someone by your side who understands what’s happening, offers reassurance, and helps you feel that everything is going well.
Irina was exactly that person for us. Her presence brought a sense of calm and confidence. What made it even more special was knowing that she is an experienced mother herself. Having someone beside me who had personally been through this experience made me trust her even more.
I also want to highlight her professionalism. Throughout labor, Irina used different techniques by to help ease my pain, paid close attention to how I was feeling, and was always there when I needed support.
Another huge help was her assistance with translation, since my English isn’t perfect. She helped me communicate with doctors and nurses, explained what was happening, and made me feel much more comfortable and confident.
My husband is also incredibly grateful to Irina. She supported both of us, guided him on how he could help me, and surrounded us with so much kindness and care.
We never once regretted our decision to have a doula at our birth. Her support was truly invaluable, and we’re so happy that Irina was the one by our side.
I sincerely wish every woman, especially first-time moms, could experience this same level of care, comfort, and sense of safety during childbirth.
