I honestly don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Birthwise Doula Services because my experience has been so much more personal than I expected. Birthwise is a team of doulas, but I’ve had the privilege of working one-on-one with Dr. Toni Curtis throughout my pregnancy, and she has truly been such a blessing to have in my corner. One thing I can genuinely say about Dr. Curtis is that she gets to know her clients as people. She doesn’t make me feel like I’m just another pregnant woman. She takes the time to listen, understand what I’m experiencing and remember the little things. That kind of personal care means so much, especially during pregnancy when there can be so much information and uncertainty coming at you from every direction. I also LOVE how knowledgeable she is about natural remedies and techniques. I swear, I can bring up almost anything and Dr. Curtis has something to suggest. From helping me get more comfortable at night to techniques for supporting baby’s positioning, she has introduced me to so many natural approaches I probably would have never thought about on my own. What I appreciate most is that her approach is gentle and non-invasive. She has taught me different ways to work with and support my body rather than immediately jumping to an intervention. I always leave our conversations feeling more informed, empowered and confident. I’m still pregnant, so I haven’t reached the birth portion of my journey yet, but I already know choosing Birthwise was one of the best decisions I could have made. I feel like I have someone in my corner who genuinely cares about me and my baby. I’m so grateful for Dr. Curtis and the care she has given me throughout this pregnancy. If you want a doula who will actually take the time to KNOW you, not just support you through labor, I wholeheartedly recommend Birthwise Doula Services.
