My husband and I decided to hire a doula at the last minute -- about two weeks before we had our son. We had interviewed another Doula and it didn't seem like a match, so we were hesitant about having one in the first place. However, as we got closer to our due date, it was important to me to have a little more support in case things didn't go to plan! Somehow, by luck, we were introduced to Erin.
From the moment we met her, Erin felt like someone we had known for a years. She was easy to talk to, knowledgeable about her field, and made it clear that she would cater her services to our needs! She immediately felt like a friend you could trust.
The week before our baby was due, she came over to our house to talk through our birth plan and preferences and show us various birthing positions -- which came in super handy on the day of!
During the labor and delivery experience, when things didn't go to plan, I was so relieved to have her calming presence in the room. She handled everything so my husband and I could really stay focused on each other and our baby. She even came to the hospital the night I was induced with decorations to help make it feel more homey and comfortable.
In the weeks after our son was born she continued to check in, offer support, and even dropped off homemade soup and other goodies!
We are endlessly grateful that Erin can into our lives. She was an absolutely game changer. I could not recommend her enough!
