I found Chrissy about two months before my due date, and I’m so grateful she was able to accommodate me and my family. She came to our home a few times and talked us through what to expect during labor and birth. I was extremely nervous and had a lot of anxiety, and being able to talk things through with her helped ease my nerves.
I had a vision of how I wanted my labor to go, but I ended up being induced, and my labor lasted over 50 hours. Chrissy stayed in touch through constant texting and communication until it made sense for her to come to the hospital. Once she arrived, she was right there beside my husband and me as we waited for our little boy. Having her support through such a long labor meant so much to both of us.
She also took the most beautiful photos and videos that we will cherish forever. Having her capture those moments allowed my husband and me to be fully present for our son’s birth.
Her support continued postpartum, too. I was so exhausted, and Chrissy would come in the evening and care for our son so my husband and I could catch up on sleep and come up for air. Becoming a parent changes everything so quickly, especially your sleep, and having her help during those first few months made such a difference.
I honestly don’t think my experience would have gone as well as it did without her. She had so much insight to share, and we really connected. She’s such a sweet soul, and I felt comfortable with her from the beginning.
Chrissy, I can’t thank you enough. If you’re thinking about getting a doula or hiring Chrissy, I highly recommend you do it. I’m so glad we had her with us.
