I had an amazing experience with Michele as my doula for the birth of my first child! I hired District Doulas and did not know who would be on call the day I gave birth, and I am so glad to have had Michele by my side. She was so comforting and supportive from the first call we had early in the morning when I suspected my water broke, throughout the entire day (she left the hospital at almost midnight). She was incredible at advocating for me while I was in discomfort, and proposed positions and ideas to the nurses and obgyn to help my labor move along that really worked. She also helped support my husband and guide him throughout the long day! She was easy to be around and talk to, and never made me feel awkward despite all the things that happen during labor and how vulnerable I was. We had a great postpartum visit and she continued to support me over the phone during my first couple weeks postpartum, particularly with nursing questions. I couldn't recommend her enough and would love to have her with me when I hopefully have a 2nd child!
