Shamika was an absolute dream to work with and I highly recommend her. We hired her as a birth doula and postpartum doula for overnight support. Shamika provided us with superb support at the birth, with early infant care, and with lactation. As first time parents, she was able to guide us through what to expect at birth, care for our baby overnight, and provide valuable knowledge and tips on how to care for a newborn. Shamika was terrific with our baby, she immediately established trust and we knew he was in experienced and safe hands with her. She taught us how to swaddle and change diapers, helped us establish an appropriate feeding schedule, helped ensure a safe sleeping environment, and provided numerous other tips such as when to introduce different toys or activities. Shamika was also able to coach me through lactation challenges and, thanks to her, I was able to provide breast milk to my son. Shamika has excellent knowledge, clearly cares about each family she supports, and brings a fun and incredibly supportive vibe when she arrives. I cannot recommend her enough!
