I can’t express enough gratitude for Juliana and all the help and support she provided to my family during those first few weeks with our first baby.
Juliana cared for both me and my baby as a doula, but she was so much more than that. She was a therapist, a consultant, a coach, and a calm, reassuring presence when we needed it most. She always provided thoughtful options and guidance while also respecting our choices and helping us feel confident in our decisions.
In those first few weeks, Juliana helped me stay on top of breastfeeding and getting my milk supply in. She recognized when our baby needed an extra top-off with formula and helped us navigate supplementation without stress or judgment. She then helped our baby become comfortable taking a bottle while I learned how to pump.
She also helped us establish a great sleep routine. By the time she left us, our baby was breastfeeding comfortably during the day, and taking 1-2 bottles of either expressed milk or formula during the middle of the night. We were even getting six-hour stretches of sleep.
It would have been so difficult to learn all of this on our own, and I am incredibly thankful that Juliana was there to coach both me and my partner through the journey. Our baby absolutely loved Juliana, and I truly felt Juliana loved her too. That made it so much easier to rest at night knowing our little one was in such good hands, but it also made it really hard to say goodbye.
I will always be grateful for the care, knowledge, and reassurance Juliana gave our family during this time.
