Ashleigh was the best labor and delivery doula I could've asked for!
She provided timely reponsive support with answering questions leading up to the birth of my son and helped me feel calm, cool and relaxed in the visits leading up to labor.
When it came time for my labor, she was there when we needed her most (didn't matter the time of day), she stayed with me the whole time, supporting with whatever I needed. She stayed at the hospital throughout my lengthy early and active labor (which combined, ended up being more than a day). Ashleigh maintained clear communications of what was happening throughout my labor; she was great at anticipating updates or tough conversations the OBs and residents would surface so I wouldn't be surprised when they came. She also made sure I wasn't rushed into making any types of decisions – it was re-assuring to have an experienced voice in the room who always made sure I had time to make decisons, when unexpected pivots arose.
Asheligh was a true advocate in the room, fighting for certain aspects of my birth preference sheet to be adhered to, which was great – I don't believe I would've had as seemless of an experience with only my husband or my mom (no offense to them)! She put my mind and spirit at ease and helped ensure I had a healthy and timely birth for me and baby. She's also very cool to hang out with and be around in general, I can't emphasize enough how she's the best. Truly nothing but a positive experience and I would 100% recommend her to any expecting parents to bring her on as part of your team.
