We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Kathy. We had recently moved to MA and I knew early on that I wanted the support of a doula as I prepared for my goal of a natural, unmedicated birth.

Throughout my pregnancy, there were several moments when I started to lose confidence in the birth experience I hoped for. My OB repeatedly raised concerns about how "big" our baby might be and the possibility of induction or C-section. I was also navigating a few minor complications and an AMA pregnancy. After every appointment, Kathy checked in. She listened, reassured me and, just as importantly, helped me feel informed. She shared research and evidence-based resources, podcasts and other materials that allowed us to better understand our options and make decisions that felt right for us. I never felt pressured by her in any direction. We felt supported, empowered and much more confident asking questions and advocating for our preferences.
The day before I was likely to be induced, our baby girl decided to come on her own. I was able to have the beautiful, natural birth experience I had hoped for, and I genuinely don't think it would have been possible without Kathy. Her calm presence, encouragement and support throughout pregnancy and labor meant everything to us.
Kathy will forever be a part of our family's story, and we feel so lucky that she was alongside us throughout this journey and in the room when our daughter was born.
