We decided to hire a doula for my second pregnancy and we are so glad we did! Having Kelly with us along our journey was incredibly helpful. She was able to answer questions, provide resources and support when needed, help put together our birth plan, and shared our excitement the whole way through! During my labor and delivery, Kelly had me trying different positions to labor in, helped to keep me calm, provided words of encouragement, and ensured my preferences and choices were known and understood by my birth team. Her being an IBCLC was an added bonus as she was able to help establish breastfeeding immediately after the birth and provide further support postpartum. If you’re considering hiring a doula, I would highly recommend doing so!
