Having Kate be a part of journey as new parents with our first baby, with very limited baby experience, was an absolute blessing! She is incredibly knowledgeable and educated us on newborn life - baby expectations, postpartum life, and what we might need (and dont need!) based on our preferences. I will over research and find the end of Google to figure things out or make decisions. Having Kate as a resource helped me focus on what was important and kept me from going down the rabbit hole, protecting my mental health before and after baby's arrival. On the support side, Kate was incredible. My husband and I made the decision to have no family support following the birth of our baby. She met us at home from the hospital and made sure I was set up, physically and mentally, for our first night and few days. For our other visits, she continued to guide and educate us on our new baby, parent life and my postpartum journey. She made sure baby and both my husband and I were supported, fed, hydrated. She provided resources and guidance on newborn things that will inevitably pop up. She quickly addressed any problems or concerns we had. While Kate is super knowledgeable about breastfeeding, baby and I needed a little extra help to address baby tension, asymmetry and a shallow latch. She connected us with a lactation consultant who was able to quickly get to us and help protect our desire for baby to have my milk. While all of the support and education was amazing, Kate's companionship was invaluable. She does not come with any judgement. She's open, kind, funny, caring and just a good human. She clearly loves what she does and genuinely cares for her families. I'm super greatful to know her and to have had her be a part of our journey. I would 1000% recommend her to anyone having a baby and considering postpartum support. It made our journey so much easier, sweeter and meaningful because we got to know such an incredible person.
