Working with Samaria was one of the best decisions we made as first-time parents. After going through IVF, there was so much uncertainty and anxiety going into birth, and Samaria gave us the knowledge, confidence, and reassurance we needed to feel like we could navigate whatever came our way. She was incredibly personable, easy to talk to, and always made us feel like our questions and concerns were valid. Most importantly, she consistently reminded us that me and our baby were her priority, which gave me so much peace of mind during an experience that can otherwise feel overwhelming and scary.
During my birth, I was induced and ended up having a long labor that required us to spend four days at the hospital. She helped communicate our birth preferences to the nurses, helped clarify questions and decisions the doctors brought to us, and made sure my husband and I felt informed and supported every step of the way. She came prepared with snacks, labor tools, and different positioning techniques to help me stay comfortable and encourage labor progression. She was hands-on when I needed support and gave us space when we needed it. She also managed to fulfill my special request for Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream!
Our postpartum support with Samaria was just as wonderful. She taught us so much about breastfeeding and newborn care while also making sure to check in on me. She was wonderful with our baby and seemed to instinctively know what he needed, which allowed my husband and me to actually rest and reset. She came prepared with everything she needed, offered to help with laundry and bottle washing, and even made us breakfast before leaving in the morning.
We are so grateful we had Samaria with us through both birth and those early postpartum days. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone!
