Working with Liza is undoubtedly what set us up for success in having a positive labor and birth. Her years of experience as a doula and educator provided a great amount of clarity and confidence in our decisions and what to expect as my birth plan was natural/unmedicated in a hospital setting. She is extremely knowledgeable and offers a very well informed perspective from working abroad and in other cultures. What stands out about working with Liza was while she has a great deal of experience and valuable perspective, she empowered us to find our own voice and form our own preferences, leaving me and my husband much better equipped and informed. In the delivery room her presence grounded me, she was never overbearing and knew exactly when to gently step in to assist in achieving the experience I wanted. She was the only one in the room helping prepare me for each stage and what I could expect next, and the only one concerned in specifically my well being- simple reminders to rest, drink water, and how my husband could support me became extremely important. All of this to say, we could not have achieved such an amazing outcome without Liza!
