When I had my first child, I was very young and honestly had no idea that birth doulas even existed or what kind of support was available to me. I did the best I could with what I knew at the time. Looking back, I wish I had known then what I know now.
By the time I was pregnant with my younger two children, I understood how meaningful that kind of support could be, and I chose Willow as a doula. I’m so grateful I did.
Willow gave me a safe space to ask questions, talk through my fears, and feel heard without judgment. She brought calm and reassurance when things felt overwhelming, while always making sure I remained at the center of my own experience.
To me, that’s what makes a truly wonderful doula, not someone who tells you what to do, but someone who listens, supports, empowers, and reminds you that you’re capable when you may not feel that way yourself.
