I immediately knew when I spoke with Gina that I wanted her to be my doula and I didn't need to consider other options. Our personalities and humor just clicked and she was patient and reassuring answering all of my questions. My husband and I had a lot of anxiety as first time parents and she was available every step of the way. She was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and supportive. I was able to stick with my birth plan and forgo an epidural, which I don't think would have happened if she weren't with us. She was so encouraging and checked in with my wishes every time the hospital tried to deviate from my plan. Even the hospital was so impressed with her and said she was the most involved doula they'd experienced; one nurse asked for her contact info for a friend. Gina was invaluable and if we have a second baby we will definitely be working with her again!
