I'm so glad I decided to get a doula and so thankful that I decided on Christine. I'm a first time mom and was on the fence about whether or not I should commit to a doula. Eventually, my husband and I decided it was an investment in our birthing experience. From the onset, Chris made it clear that she was there to support me in any way that I preferred to be supported. She was respectful of my desires and wishes and never once attempted to push her opinion on us when working with us. It was obvious that she wanted to help foster our ideal birthing experience.
Chris was a wealth of knowledge and walked me through what to expect, but she didn't overwhelm me with information. She provided just enough information for me to feel informed and answered all my questions, while making it evident that should any situation arise during the remainder of my pregnancy or labor and delivery, she would be an advocate and relay new information and make sure I was making educated decisions. Working with someone that had lactation experience was also very important to me, and while I didn't have any nursing issues, it was a relief knowing that Chris would be checking in with me post-delivery and ensuring that all was well.
I'm so thankful that I had Chris during my labor and delivery. She was prompt in responding to my messages leading up to our hospital visit and was a joy to have in the room! She was responsive to all of our needs. Her experience was made evident becasue she knew exactly what movements to have me do, what to anticipate, and had the forsight to know what I may need. Having her with us lifted the mental load from everyone else that was there to support me so that they were able to enjoy the experience as well.
I highly recommend Chris' services! Her postivity and energy is a joy to be around!
