We are so grateful we had Chelsea as our birth doula. She was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive throughout my difficult, high-risk pregnancy, and having someone I already trusted with me during my scheduled induction made me feel much safer during an incredibly vulnerable time.
My labor ended up progressing much faster than my medical team anticipated. I unexpectedly progressed to 9 cm before I was able to get my epidural and came very close to not getting it at all. I was completely unprepared for how quickly and intensely everything happened, but Chelsea stayed calm when I was overwhelmed. She helped keep me from panicking, knew exactly which positions to suggest as labor progressed, and helped me feel grounded when everything suddenly felt out of control.
What I appreciated most was having someone there who understood birth so well but was also focused entirely on supporting me. Even with a full medical team around me, Chelsea provided a different kind of reassurance and continuous support that was invaluable. I’m so glad she was part of my pregnancy and birth experience, and I would absolutely recommend her to other expecting families.
