Our experience with Julia was phenonmenal from the get go. From her warm and kind demeanor that we picked up from the initial interview to the detailed responses to our questions regarding invoices and her responsibilties, we knew that Julia would be attentative, affectionate, and safe with our child. We worked with Julia for roughly 13 weeks, as that's what our company benefit would allow through Carrot Fertility, and we truly wish we had Julia for longer.
During the initial few weeks, our son was going through some normal gassiness that was making him extremely fussy and Julia made some formula recommendations which definitely helped as we noticed gassiness going down. She was knowledgeable without being pushy and would always ask us what we thought first and approached us from a consultative perspective which we truly appreciated.
During the nights that we had Julia (we primarily asked Julia for night doula services so that my wife could recover and so that I could focus on the older two children), she always showed up a few minutes early to prepare and wash her hands and then take our son off of our hands. She'd always ask us how our day was and then provide an update on how our son was the prior night. Julia always had a keen eye for hunger cues, could tell when and why our son was upset and was quick to either soothe or identify a dirty diaper that was causing fussiness.
My wife didn't pump but we did supplement formula along with breastfeeding and Julia would use her keen judgment to either let my wife sleep through the night and give the baby a bottle or wake her up depending on feeding schedules and she'd coordinate seamlessly with my wife and gently remind her via text.
If ever have more children, we will definitely be reaching out to Julia again!
