We cannot recommend Maggie highly enough. From the moment we meet her, she went so far beyond what we expected from doula support. Because our pregnancy was high-risk, we had a lot of extra appointments, and she offered to come with me to any of them if I ever would potentially have to go alone. We ended up not needing to take her up on it, but just knowing that offer was there and that she cared enough to make it meant so much.
At our pre baby meetings she was an absolute bright spot. Maggie was bubbly, warm, and genuinely excited for us every single time. She was our biggest cheerleader through the whole pregnancy, and she made what could have been a stressful, medicalized process feel supported and human.
When labor started to get serious and we called her to join us at the hospital, she completely locked in. She was calm, attentive, and steady in exactly the way we needed. We were able to have a beautiful unmedicated delivery, and so much of that comes down to the environment she helped create. It was a combination of encouragement, physical support, the way she read the room and knew exactly what to offer and when.
This was both of our first times becoming parents, and my husband especially appreciated having someone in his corner too. He never felt like a bystander because she made sure he had a role and felt confident supporting me, which took so much pressure off both of us.
If we're lucky enough to have another baby, we will absolutely be calling her again. Maggie isn't just a doula, she's someone who shows up fully, cares deeply, and makes an already huge life moment feel safe and celebrated. We are so grateful.
