I’ve now had the privilege of working with Jess for the births of both of my babies. The first time we worked together was by coincidence, when my doula was called to another birth and Jess stepped in as her backup. After that experience, I knew I wanted her support for my second birth as well.

Jess is incredibly sensitive, reliable, knowledgeable, and supportive. During both births, she instinctively knew the perfect balance between being present and available when I needed her and giving me space when I wanted it.

She supported me through surges with massage tools, hip squeezes, and hot and cold compresses. She kept my playlist going to help create a relaxing atmosphere, taped up my verses throughout the house, and made sure I had plenty of electrolyte drinks and nourishing food. She was always thinking one step ahead and anticipating what I might need.

Before labor, she helped set up the birth pool, and afterward, she cleaned everything up and made sure I was comfortably tucked into bed with clean sheets, a fresh drink, and a delicious soup she had brought for me. Those little details made such a big difference.

Her thoughtfulness didn’t stop after the birth. She came back to support me and my family, bringing a ton of food and a big brother cake for my toddler. She even gifted us with items for both the baby and our toddler. I was so touched by how intentional and thoughtful she was.

Jess made me feel safe, cared for, and supported during some of my most vulnerable moments. That means more than I can put into words when welcoming a new little life into the world.

I couldn’t recommend her more highly and truly hope I get the chance to work with her again someday! ??
