Liz is an amazing doula. She is patient, knowledgable, kind and everything we could have asked for. She met with us twice prior to our son's birth and one time she even brought our back up doula so we could meet her in person. She assisted us with our birth plan and overcoming anxieties and fears. Her expertise and kind disposition not only put us at ease but helped us feel supported and confident in our birthing choices. My husband was not convinced that we needed the assistance of a doula but felt differently after meeting Liz. i was diagnosed at 36 weeks with a rare, life threatening pregnancy condition and was transferred to a different hospital and induced. I was extremely sick and it was a very scary situation for me and my husband. We were at a different hospital with different doctors and presented with medical interventions that we had never considered. We were scared For my health and for our baby. My husband contacted Liz and she came to the hospital ( her contract doesn't start until week 38) and stayed with us through a long and scary labor and delivery. She supported us both through the entire labor and we are grateful and thankful to her for her support. There are no words that can convey how calming her presence was. she helped us understand what was going on medically and helped us find ways to include our birth plan into the situation. Liz has a very calming personality and she helped us stay calm and in control of our labor and delivery. She also managed to get a few pictures which Due the emergency, we did not have a camera. She followed up with me during my 9 day hospital stay and then came to see us at home. I highly recommend Liz to any family considering a doula. We have no way of knowing what can happen during our pregnancies and deliveries but we can control who we have as a support team and Liz was the backbone of our support team. Her patience and expertise make her an asset before, during and after delivery.
