We found Dana through the recommendation of a friend who had worked with her and was very positive about the experience. As first-time parents, there was a lot of uncertainty and anxiety and we were looking for someone who could be a guide and an advocate through the process. Our meetings with Dana were immediately informative and gave us a baseline of trust and knowledge that helped us feel prepared. Dana was responsive and was able to meet with us in-person, over video calls and was regularly responsive to our texts and calls.
Towards the end of the pregnancy as our plans shifted quite frequently, Dana helped us with numerous plans of action that included coverage, and how she could support us depending on when the birth was and how it would proceed. When it came time for me to give birth, I was so relieved to have Dana, who talked us through all options available to us, quelled my anxiety, and was a reassuring and calming presence at all times. Overall, Dana was a great member of our team, working seamlessly with our nurses, doctors and my husband to make everything easier!
After birth, we had a post-partum in-person checkup that helped reassure us that things were progressing well and reaffirmed her support for us. Looking back, it was vital for my husband and me to have someone like Dana as part of this process, and my birth would not have been nearly as smooth without her inputs and, when solicited, her opinions about the right course of action for me. We would highly recommend Dana to anyone who is looking for added support in their birth plan.
