When we decided to pursue a more natural birth, our midwife recommended that we consider hiring a doula. We found Christa, and hiring her ended up being one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy.
From the very beginning, Christa was incredibly helpful, supportive, and informative. We took her birthing class with my husband and my mom, and it was such a valuable experience. It helped all of us get on the same page and gave us so much information and knowledge that we otherwise wouldn’t have had going into labor.
In the weeks leading up to our birth, Christa consistently checked in with us and reached out around our important appointments. When we finally went into labor, there were several unexpected changes to our birth plan, but Christa guided us through every challenge so calmly and beautifully. She never left my side and was constantly encouraging different positions, providing counterpressure during contractions, and helping me feel supported through each stage of labor.
Looking back, having a doula there throughout the entire birth was incredibly reassuring. It helped calm my nerves, and my husband felt like we always had a knowledgeable and experienced person on our side who could help guide and support us.
Our birth didn’t go exactly as we had planned, but we truly cherished every minute of it, and Christa was a huge part of making that possible. Even after the birth, she came to our home to check in on both the baby and me and brought us such a thoughtful gift.
We are so grateful to have had Christa by our side throughout this entire experience and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!
