WOW. Heather's service is top tier. She gives deliberate and effective tasks to help prep for birth. Nothing is fluff: everything helps. This was huge for me, because my time and energy was very limited during pregnancy.
Heather is very connected to the birthing community in my area. She gave phenomenal recommendations for prenatal chiropractics and prenatal massage, and she referred me to an awesome gym that had workouts specifically catered to pregnant moms.
During labor, Heather was a phenomenal coach. Her approach of assisting at home for part of the time and then at the birthing location for the rest was very effective. For me, she was the right mix of enthusiasm and matter-of-fact. Her guidance helped me keep my head during birth. She was great at helping me have my autonomy and make the call when I was able while also supplying help and plans when I was too in-the-zone to make the call myself. She also took some beautiful photos during the birth, but never did it at a time when other duties were more important.
She worked so well with my husband. Heather knows how to coach and help birth partners just as well as she helps moms.
Heather's postpartum visit was so beautiful and much-needed. Birth is a wild ride, and I appreciated the time and care that Heather took to talk through everything that happened and how I felt about it all. She helped me process my birth and move forward in my mama journey.
TL;DR: Just hire the woman. She's the best.
