As a birth partner and co-parent, I am incredibly grateful to Brielle for all of the kindness, care, and wisdom she brought into our home. Our little one arrived a month early, so we hadn't even been able to meet in person yet when my wife's water broke. Brielle showed up at our hospital as soon as she could and helped us adjust from the vaginal birth we had planned for to a necessary c-section. Back at home, she helped us--my wife especially--regain the sense of agency that our hospital experience had badly damaged, guiding Jackie away from anxious reactivity towards proactive choices centered in her own power and comfort. Brielle was a powerful support in our transition to the manifold unknowns of new parenthood and I will always be grateful for how she held us and carried us through it.
