Katie was hugely helpful for our family! My baby was my second, and Katie bridged the key time in the afternoon through dinner time. She is very knowledgeable about newborn care; I knew that my baby was well cared for while I took care of myself, dinner, and my older kid. When I needed to nurse the baby she stepped in and played with my older kid, who was also adjusting to our new family situation! Katie was also (importantly) very easy to talk to, and seamlessly fit in with all the particulars of our house and routine. She remembered things that me and my older kid said and followed up with them later (for example, my older kid is very into flowers, and Katie shared info about the flowers growing in her own garden, bringing a few for a bouquet, much to my kid's delight). Katie was magic at getting a cranky baby to nap. When I needed a nap, she would watch both the baby and my older kid at the same time as well. I highly recommend Katie to help your family with the newborn adjustment!
