Testimonial for Nadia Mercado
Nadia was a perfect companion to my birthing experience. In every planning effort leading up to my birth, I knew she was the one I wanted to be there to capture the moment. I trusted her natural talents to lead the creative direction, and with my trust in her, all I had to do was show up as I am and focus on the most important task of the night, which was to deliver my baby safely.
Not only did Nadia capture the most sacred moments of my labor and delivery, she made sure to capture the people I had present with me throughout the experience. I was so impressed when I received my photos back. Nadia went above and beyond when developing my photo album. She included storytelling in her photo album arrangement, which made the entire collection feel like she was telling the story of my birth through her eyes.
Being that she also has a background in doula work and has accompanied many women on this special journey, the energy she brought just by being present at my birth was amazing. She understood the space, the emotions, and the importance of each moment without ever taking away from the experience itself.
I will hold onto these photos forever. They are near and dear to my heart. I look back at the photos and reflect on the entire natural birth experience, and I’m so grateful that I have these memories captured the way that I do.
If you don’t think you need a birth photographer, think again. I can’t place a value on what Nadia has delivered to me. These are memories I will have forever, and I’m so thankful she was there to capture them.
