We are so grateful for our doula, Elisabeth Garner, and the support she gave to us during one of the most beautiful times of our lives - welcoming our daughter!
Elisabeth arrived just in time for the delivery and having her there in those final moments made such a difference. Her calm and reassuring presence and words of encouragement helped my husband and I to feel very present and grounded, mentally and emotionally, through the intensity of birth, while also being supported, physically, by her strong arms and gentle touch. She did an excellent job coaching my breathing and assisting my husband in his support roles as well.
Her care continued immediately after baby was born. She was there with us during those first precious and overwhelming moments, making sure we were comfortable, reassured, and cared for. She embraced our joy fully, and was able to capture some sweet picutres we otherwise would have missed!
We truly could not have asked for someone more compassionate, encouraging and nurturing to join us in this birth experience!
