I cannot recommend Mirella highly enough. She was our night doula for the first six weeks after our son was born, and hiring her was truly one of the best decisions we made for our baby and ourselves.
Those first weeks are such a delicate and vulnerable time for a family, especially for a new mom and baby, and Mirella brought exactly the presence we needed into our home. She is incredibly kind, gentle, calm, and nurturing, while also being knowledgeable, reliable, timely, and precise in everything she does.
We started calling her “the baby whisperer” because she always seemed to know exactly what our son needed. If he was unsettled, she knew how to soothe him, and whenever we asked for advice, she had thoughtful suggestions that worked. She didn’t just care for our son: she taught us so much and helped us become more confident parents.
She was especially incredible in helping us establish healthy sleep habits from the beginning. She showed us how to gently teach our son to sleep and worked consistently with him night after night. By six weeks, he was sleeping stretches of around six hours, which I credit in large part to Mirella and the foundation she helped us create.
She also helped with household chores, which was enormously helpful during those exhausting early weeks.
Initially, I was hesitant to hire a night doula because both my husband and I were off work and I wondered if we really needed the help. Looking back, it was one of the best choices we could have made. Mirella helped us immensely and made those first weeks so much more manageable and special.
We feel incredibly lucky that she was part of our son’s first weeks of life. I would recommend Mirella without hesitation and would be more than happy to speak with any family considering working with her. She is truly wonderful.
