"Thank you for sharing your feedback, Naliya. I take every client’s birth experience very seriously and always aim to provide dedicated support. Because your location in Columbus was more than two hours outside my primary service area, I initially recommended a local doula care to ensure immediate availability. Because you insisted, I agreed as long as you would pay for my accomadation to be there at the onset of labor. However at the signing of the contract you opt'd out and assured me you would contact me at the onset of labor. Which you also failed to do; days before you actually went into labor, you went to emergency room because you thought you were in labor but didn't contact me until after the fact.
As outlined in our contract and discussions, long-distance attendance requires early notice upon the start of labor and clear travel logistics so I can arrive in time. Because I was notified after labor was already rapidly progressing/water had broken, it was physically impossible to cover the 2+ hour drive before delivery. I am truly sorry your birth happened so quickly without my full in-person support; however I do believe the preparation sessions adequately prepared you. Nonetheless, I wish you and your family the absolute best."
