My experience with LeNay was absolutely amazing! When people ask the point of a Doula I always said that it was to be supported during my pregnancy as well as labor and delivery. LeNay did just that and more. This was my first pregnancy and it was hard to know what to expect. About every other month we would meet together to help prepare for birth, more specifically, mentally prepare for birth which I think is the key factor we don't think about. The support giving during those 9 months was more than just respect of my birth plan. It was a friendship and it was someone who was so selfless and wanted the best experience for me above all!! When it came to my labor and delivery, I couldn't have been more grateful that LeNay was there. My labor was long and painful and didn't go to plan, as most don't. My baby wasn't positioned in an optimal birth station and it was causing extreme exhaustion and pain. If this would have progressed, my labor would have led to a C- Section. LeNay and the nurses worked so hard to get me in different positions to help the baby and after a few hours, he was here and I couldn't have had it any other way!! There are not many words to describe how blessed I feel to have met LeNay and had have her embark on this journey with me!
