There's no better day to be writing this review for Kayla than LABOR Day...! I truly had the most beautiful labor and birth experience because of the incredible support Kayla Davis provided as my doula. This was my second birth, and one of my only life regrets is not having a doula for the first -- I knew I wanted to approach birth differently the second time, and immediately upon meeting Kayla it was clear that I needed her on my team! She was so amazing from the start of my pregnancy, helping me find a better team of providers that would happily go on my journey with me of wanting a different birth experience. Kayla provided numerous amazing resources to help me prepare for my desired unmedicated birth and provided such genuine empathy in the weeks leading up to birth. Having gone 10 days past my due date, I was feeling excasperated by pregnancy at the end and ready to meet my baby girl - Kayla was so wonderful at reassuring me of baby's timing and encouraging me to trust in the process. During my labor, Kayla made an incredibly peaceful, nourishing atmosphere in the hospital room and coached me through each contraction. She really helped my husband, working with him as a team to support me in the right positions and remind me I was already doing it when it got hard! Because of Kayla's wonderful partnership with the nurses and midwives at the hospital and fantastic support, I had a birth I could've only dreamed of and felt so at peace the second my daughter let out her first cry. I know I couldn't have had the fulfilling birth experience I did without her empowerment! She is a truly wonderful person and doula who was made to be in the birth community. Thankful for Kayla!
