We had such an amazing experience with Olena and are so grateful she was there for the birth of our son. I was really hoping for an unmedicated birth, and I truly feel like her support helped make that possible. She was so calm and encouraging throughout labor and was constantly helping me with different positions, comfort techniques, and ways to manage the pain. Having her there made me feel so much more confident and supported.
She also worked incredibly well with all of the nurses and staff at Evergreen. It never felt like there were separate “teams” in the room, everyone worked together so naturally, which made the whole experience feel really positive and supportive.
One of the things we appreciated most was how much she supported my husband too. He has said multiple times how glad he was that she was there because she could guide him on exactly how to help me in the moment. Instead of him having to ask me what I needed while I was trying to get through contractions, Olena could direct him and help him know how to support me. It took pressure off both of us and helped him feel really involved in the whole experience.
We absolutely loved having Olena as our doula and would recommend her without hesitation. She was such an important part of such a special day for our family. ??
