Allyson was, in a word, INCREDIBLE. First and foremost, we trusted her completely with our infant son. She is excellent at soothing and caring for newborns; I always felt safe and comfortable when she was in his care (and so did he!). Allyson is a perfect combination of flexible but supportive. She helped me to strategize feeding timelines and schedules, while also being willing to go with the flow and adjust when needed. She is non-judgmental, calm, thoughtful, and a great listener. She is a joy to talk to at the start of the night and the master of the 3 AM gentle wake up. Having her support helped me to be a better mom during the first 8 weeks postpartum, not only because I was better rested, but also because I really felt like I had another invaluable member of my son's team. And that's not to even mention all the things she did overnight to help our household run smoothly the next day. She made sure we started off each day on the right foot with folded laundry and an empty dishwasher, plus a hundred other little things that reduced my visual clutter and mental load. Investing in postpartum support was the best decision we made for our second time around postpartum, and I can't imagine anyone better suited for this than Allyson.
