We've been blessed to have Rachel as our doula for two births now and I can't say enough positive things about her knowledge, passion, and the energy she brings into the room. As a healthcare worker planning a home birth, I appreciated all the information taught (and how thoroughly/objectively every option was explained) in Rachel's Evidence Based Birth class. We took Spinning Babies with Rachel for our first baby, and fully believe all the prep work and exercises taught are what helped to give us two smooth and healthy births. With our most recent birth, I was experiencing little episodes of prodromal labor as our due date approached and was starting to feel a little discouraged. Rachel came over and we went through the Spinning Babies moves and she created a space where I felt safe to cry and really open up about how I was feeling. The next day, we had our perfect little baby and Rachel's knowledge and encouragement helped baby navigate the pelvis and make his appearance so quickly! My husband was able to be my rock and a huge supporter during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum because of these classes and recommendations Rachel made, during a time when he otherwise would have been overwhelmed and confused. I really can't say enough positive things about working with Rachel. No matter what type of birth you are planning, having someone in your corner who understands the mechanics of birth and can support you in whatever choices you make is so helpful! I recommend Rachel's classes for everyone interested in learning about the risks/benefits of each choice in pregnancy and labor and how to have a smooth birth.
