Marlene was incredible for our birth journey. Her services are so thorough, compassionate, and tailored to exactly what we needed. As first time parents, we knew we wanted a doula to support the birth of our first child and we found Marlene's profile on doulamatch. She was always very responsive, respectful, and incredibly supportive and knowledgeable of how to prepare for the birth experience. We prepared for a spontaneous unmedicated birth together, she coached me and my husband on how to prepare for labor and met with us multiple times before our son's birth. My body and baby had their own plans and we ended up with an unplanned C-section after a 5 day induction past 41 weeks. Marlene was there for us virtually and in person every day of the labor, supporting us physically, mentally, and emotionally. She helped me advocate for myself and my baby, and even though it did not go as planned, she provided the validation and comfort that we needed to make the decisions we needed to make. I could not be more grateful and appreciative of her being a part of our son's birth and highly recommend her for prenatal preparation, labor support, and postpartum support.
