I had a wonderful experience with Heather as my doula. She is extremely kind, patient and knowledgeable. We hit it off from our first conversation and it especially resonated with me that she said her role was to inform and advocate, and to think of her as my big sister in the delivery room. She really helped me to feel comfortable, advocate for my decisions and made great suggestions to both my partner and I. She got along really well with the nurses and asked thoughtful questions to make sure I had all options available. If you are nervous about labor, especially if you are a first timer, or are a people pleaser, I would recommend having Heather as a doula. It can be hard to keep asking/advocating for things and she really helped take away that burden so I could focus on labor. She is so special and I couldn't imagine my birth experience without her!
