Our second time with Heather and 100% worth it! She assisted us on having a successful VBAC (and very long) with baby #2. We were not expecting how quick baby #3 came but with Heather's prep class we took, it didn't catch us off guard too much. I was preparing to have an epidural once I reached 6cm and hoping I could labor at home until I reached active labor. Labor progressed very fast and by the time we made it to the hospital with Heather, I was already 8-9cm, 100% effaced and facing the reality that an epidural was no longer an option. Heather helped me emotionally cope with the reality of no epidural and then quickly helped me switch gears to begin pushing. She coached me every breath of the way. The first contraction I relied on my own strength and instincts. The next two Heather provided exactly how I had to push and our son was born after 3 total contractions. I know would have done it on my own if we never had Heather, but I could imagine it would have been harder, scarier and potentially longer if she wasn't there. Forever grateful for Heather and the part she's played in our births ??
