My wife and I selected Blake as our Doula in 2024. We learned of her through one of the classes we took at a near by hospital. In the class, she was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. After that class, my wife and I decided Blake seemed like a great fit for what we were looking for in a doula. During our time with Blake, she was always warm and took the time to answer any questions we may have. She explained all the options that may present themselves before and during childbirth. While in labor, Blake assited my wife with execises to help with contractions. She also let us know when it was time to go to the hospital. Her guidance was spot on, as my wife was able to labor at home for as long as possible, and when we arrived at the hospital it was time for her to be admitted. During childbirth, she was right by my wife's side, while also leaving space for me to be present with my wife. She explained any options we had questions about, advocated when necessary, and simply took the time to make sure my wife's wishes were granted. Having Blake there, boosted the confidence we had in making decisions that felt right for our family. In addition, we also felt confident in knowing what would be available to us, how birth could go, which alleviated any stress we may have felt about childbirth as it relates to the hospital portion. After birth Blake took the most beautiful photos of our little one, once we were back home. Blake also assited with aftercare services, and was available if we had any questions regarding new borns. She truly means that she is available for after care services and is always very responsive. After a year and a half, we still greatly appreicate Blake for her services and helping us bring our little one into the world.
