Having Jessica as part of our birth team was truly the best decision I could have made. As a second time mom who had a relatively smooth first birth, I found myself carrying a lot of fear and anxiety into this pregnancy about all of the unknowns, lack of control, and worrying that this one would be harder and questioning my ability to cope. Jessica met every fear and concern with so much wisdom, encouragement, and grace. She made me feel heard and seen and helped me to get to the root of those worries and come up with a plan to ease them. During birth her presence brought so much peace and confidence. She provided specific positions to support labor progress, tools to manage intensity, and also trusted me and my intuition. When I needed her she was right there, and when my husband and I were coping well together she honored that. In addition to all of that, the pictures we received of my daughters birth are something I will treasure for my whole life. To sum it all up, when it was all over my husband looked at me and said "we're never birthing without Jessica again, are we?" She is the best of the best!
