For us, it was great to have someone who had studied this work and also had the nursing background. Pediatricians have one angle, and it feels very medical and rushed, versus having the doula angle with lots of different options and a more laid-back support system.
It made me more confident in breastfeeding and caring for Isla. Different worries I may have had were washed away after we spoke, versus going down a Google rabbit hole! It was really the discussions we had where we could talk about parenting as a whole, and the stories you shared from different families and experiences you had.
You were very professional, easy to communicate with, and completely reliable! We felt very comfortable leaving Isla in your care. I think it was the second day you were with us when we left for breakfast, and you and Isla stayed home.
